Developed during a residency at Liverpool’s Tobacco Warehouse, A Combination of the Two investigates the subtle choreographies embedded within the workspace and the containers they sustain. Working alongside Vivienne, a member of the building’s ground maintenance team, adopting an informed spatial knowledge—embodied practices that reveal how the body negotiates space through action, exchanges between bodies, and the spatial systems that hold them. In this meeting of two practices—the artist’s and Vivienne’s—the work exposes routine as a shared language. The building becomes a site where spatial intuition converges, revealing its own choreography: reciprocal and continually unfolding.
