Emboditecture, 2018–2022

Performance, Video

Emboditecture is an ongoing body-led research project in which the artist uses her body as a primary instrument for interrogating the architectures she encounters. Rather than occupying space, treating space as something to be sensed and temporarily reconfigured through movement. The work positions the body as a site of knowledge — a responsive system capable of revealing the behavioural, affective, and physical cues embedded within built environments.

Emboditecture traces these encounters as investigations into how architecture shapes, directs, and negotiates embodied experience. Each action functions as a form of spatial inquiry, asking how bodies register thresholds, measure constraints, proximities, and the subtle choreographies imposed by interior and exterior structures.

Emboditecture resists architecture as fixed or static. Instead, frames the built environment as something continuously activated and redefined through human presence. A sustained conceptual study — a shifting dialogue in which movement becomes a method for thinking through space.
